Grace Livingston Hill | She was born  April 16, 1867 and died in 1947. She was an early 20th century novelist and wrote both under her real name and the pseudonym Marcia Macdonald. She wrote over 100 novels and numerous short stories. Her characters were most often young female Christians, or some who become Christians within the story. She was born in Wellsville, NY to a Presbyterian minister, Chas. Montgomery Livingston & his wife, Marcia Macdonald Livingston; both were also writers.
