LOVE. Nice mudroom space with bench to sit on, storage baskets and hooks, space for shoes underneath. I wouldn't mind sitting there at those lovely windows looking out into the yard. On the other side I'd have a little hand sink.
Alaska... one in a billion photo The photo was taken at the entrance to Katlian Bay at the end of the road in Sitka , Alaska . The whale is coming up to scoop up a mouthful of herring. The kayaker is a local Sitka Dentist. He apparently didn't sustain any injuries from the terrifying experience. The whale's mouth is fully open with the bottom half under the boat. Look at the picture again - He is in the whale's MOUTH!

The stairs going up the knoll to a roof garden and to an Anchorage, Alaska, house’s second-level entrance are made from Cor-Ten steel risers (which develop a rich, rusted patina) and are filled with gravel in order to create a nonslip surface that drains well. Shrine of St. Therese - Juneau, Alaska I love the Shrine. It's so peaceful there. Any time I have a tour group that has me take them to the Shrine, it makes my day. And you don't have to be Catholic to enjoy it.
