Feast your eyes on an intriguing crater with bright material on its walls.  This image, taken by NASA's Dawn spacecraft, shows a portion of the southern hemisphere of dwarf planet Ceres from an altitude of 915 miles (1,470 kilometers). The image, with a resolution of 450 feet (140 meters) per pixel, was taken on August 21, 2015.

December 21 Summer Winds.Today’s block was probably first published in an article about the WCTU in Farm and Fireside, August 1, 1888; but was subsequently published by the Ladies Art Company (pattern #161) and would have been in print by 1897. Barbara Brackman also found it under the names: Montgomery (Hearth and Home) and Celestial Problem (Nancy Cabot, Chicago Tribune, 1935).
