The Wren's Nest, Historic Home of Mansfield PA
This photo is from the historic Mansfield, Pennsylvania home known as The Wrens Nest. Built in 1854 by Dr. Joseph P. Morris who came to the area to assist his cousin Benjamin. Benjamin was married to Mary Wells for whom Wellsboro, Pennsylvania was named. Joseph was supposedly the first Postmaster in nearby Blossburg. He also started the coal company and railroad there. Hence the town names of Morris and Morris Run. He donated the land where Mansfield University now stands.

"Until this summer, this space was occupied by an unused dorm and a parking lot, but it was razed for building a new, state-of-the-art dormitory for students. I am grateful for the change (because it should attract more students), but my colleagues and I do miss the parking lot."
