Lynyrd Skynyrd's Ronnie Van Zant - he always sang barefooted so he could feel the music resonate off the stage. Roll down the windows, crank up Freebird and Gimme Three Steps!

Steve Gaines of Lynyrd Skynyrd, wrote the song I Know a Little and played the rip-roaring solo. Sadly he died in a plane crash in 1977 which also killed the lead singer, Ronnie Van Zant.

I was born past my time.....I love the "original" Skynyrd....Ronnie had such a way with incredible. "I Need You" is probably my favorite Skynyrd song. RIP may be gone but you sure as hell ain't forgotten!
