Hush Bottles: the calm down solution- Fill a bottle with 3/4 water, one bottle of glitter glue, & ultra fine glitter. Then send this bottle with your child to timeout and they can watch it settle to calm them. Once the glitter is settled their time is up!

Homemade Playdough. I have made my own playdough and saw this wonderful blog post. I decided to forgo blogging about making play dough because she did such a good job and took step by step pictures. This stuff holds up really well. I actually store mine in the fridge. I personally loath Playdoh since the odor makes me nauseous. Great activity for your little ones.

Edible Sensory Paint - 2 cups cold water, 1/2 cup cornstarch, 3 tablespoons sugar, food coloring - cook up in stove whisking until thick.  Separate out and add food colouring - keep in jars. Easy to make!
