Clever design for an easy access & fragrant herb garden. Would work well for a kids micro veggie garden with colourful painted pavers. | The Micro Gardener Gardens Ideas, Garden Ideas, Step Stones, Front Yards, Herbs Gardens, Easy Accessible, Fragrant Herbs, Veggies Gardens, Stepping Stones

cedar leaning planters! i'd love 1 (or 3!) to grow a garden of herbs on our lanai. with a bad back, it'd be easier to garden w/o bending. Handmade by my bff's (@Cyndy Andrews Ristucci husband! $39
Love the checkerboard paving - if you were careful about the 'grass' you planted, you wouldn't need to mow (e.g. microlaena, chamomile, thyme, creeping mint, even violas...) I've always loved this idea, but having to continually maintain it put me off. Love the idea of a ground cover that wouldn't need to be mown
A clever way to get a small herb garden is to grow in a zinc tub (or other large vessels). Fertilize and water regularly o your own spices to this summer's all delicacies. And in winter, of course, harvest regularly and dry or freeze. When growing herbs all the more. In my box I have chives, thyme (see the nice sign above that I received from Greenhouse madam), pineapple sage, mint, parsley, oregano.
