Growing up, for little girls the thing to have at birthdays was a half plastic doll stuck inside of a pudding-shaped cake. The icing was put on to look like ruffles of lace. I wanted one. Don't think I ever got one. If I did, I don't remember. Half dolls were kept in many kitchen drawers for the making of these. Along with round scone cutters.
1980s- This was the beginning of a yet-to-end video game fad. The first in-home gaming systems, such as the Atari, were coming into homes and the trend was catching on really quickly. It was a trend that mostly began with little boys but eventually expanded.
