Box hedge cuttings make great perches for farmed butterflies - Moths and Butterflies of New Zealand Trust

Box hedge (buxus sempervirens), which is very common around Christchurch, makes a popular foodplant when in flower in summer; it also has excellent branches for use as perches by new butterflies – long, and slender with slightly rough bark for a good grip.
