"When a child asks you something, answer him, for goodness sake. But don't make a production of it. Children are children, but they can spot an evasion faster than adults, and evasion simply muddles 'em." - spoken by Atticus Finch, by Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird

To Kill a Mockingbird- Harper Lee This was my absolute favorite book as a young girl, and I still get so much out of it every time I revisit it. Atticus and Scout helped make me who I am, and that's one of the ways you know a GREAT book from a good one.

An outstanding book that you should have read in high school. One of my brother's favorite books. And a great movie too!

This is one of my favorite books. I used to read this to my boys often. (They're both grown now!) I bought a new copy to read to our grandchildren.

Told through the voice of Harper Lee's heroine, the young and impressionable Scout Finch, this tale of growing up in the racially-charged deep southern United States offers many lessons on friendship, community, justice and acceptance.

My favorite book by Jane Austen - Persuasion is simply fantastic!

To Kill a Mockingbird, my favorite book ever.
