**DOING THIS: Rachel Ray talked about how you should make your own taco seasoning because the stuff you buy in stores is full of sodium(and it has silica in it, which is like the little packet found in new shoes that says DO NOT EAT!). This is just full of flavor. Simply spices! 1 T chili powder, 1 T ground cumin, 1 T garlic powder, 1 T onion powder, 1/4 T crushed red pepper
Baked Taco Ring(30 min. to bake) 1 lb. ground beef 1 package (1.25 oz) taco seasoning mix 1 c. (4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese 2 tbs water 2 8-oz packages refrigerated crescent rolls 1 medium green bell pepper 1 c. salsa (optional) 3 c. lettuce, shredded (we used more — ¾ a head) 1 medium tomato, diced ¼ c. onion, chopped ½ c. pitted ripe olives sour cream
Frito Taco Salad 8-10 c lettuce, chopped, whatever looks like enough 3/4lb-1lb of gr turkey or beef pkg taco seasoning 1 can black or pinto beans, drained 1 c corn 2 tomatoes, chopped 1.5 c shredded cheese 2 c Fritos Catalina Dressing (chopped green onions or black olives) Brown ground meat, add taco seasoning. Remove from heat & drain. Add beans & corn to meat, mix well. In large bowl, mix everything together. We serve separately and build our own.
Oven Baked Tacos. Brown your ground beef and drain completely - then add refried beans, taco seasoning and about half a can of tomato sauce. Mix together and scoop into taco shells, (stand them up in a casserole dish). Sprinkle the cheese on top and bake at 375 for 10 minutes!!!!!! Finally perfected it again. Love oven tacos.
