Being a good parent can start with changing a few habits. Don’t believe me? Take the test. Try one of these simple habits every day throughout the next five days, and watch how it transforms your family and your home! I challenge you!
I'm a big fan of this breakdown on Santa. I appreciated the idea behind Santa as a child, but this letter from a child's parents just smashes the nail on the head for me. I dislike the idea of "robbing" the magic of Christmas from my children with "the truth", but with a message like this I don't feel as though I have to anymore. Awesome.
Neat Idea: "I run a chore store, but I do not include, candy, or soda, just sugarless gum. The items are all "priced" in tickets. I purchased a roll of raffle tickets and I pay the kids in tickets for chores. The chore store is open on Sundays so they have a chance to save up tickets over the week. There are toys, stickers, character socks, anything you can think of. I also am working on coupons like, 30 minutes of video game time and such. I use those foil star stickers to price items."
