You can't argue the impact that George Lois had on advertising, and his in your face approach would be refreshing these days when everything is planned to be boring. But the book is infinitely 'fuhgeddable' :(

One Literature Nut: Review: East of Eden by John Steinbeck

Sophomoric, tedious, hideously misogynist, flat-out boring. Lists of vulgar possessions interspersed with lovingly detailed, gratuitously disgusting murders. Meant, I imagine, to be satirical, it might have worked as a short story. But 400+ pages? I'd rather burst my appendix. (If I still had an appendix.)
