Leaf Rubbing Freebie - This is an activity that is part of my plant unit. It focuses on the leaf part of a plant. The kiddos go outside and find a leaf, then come back in and use the sheet to make a rubbing and share more information about their leaf.

Leaf crafts - Could take students outside, have them find a leaf, glue it to a piece of paper and see what they create.

This is a very simple lab activity that reinforces a student's knowledge of leaf structure and function, and how the leaf anatomy relates to photosynthesis. Purpose: 1. To observe the arrangement of leaves on living braches of various plants. 2. To find, draw, and describe the various cell types of a dicot leaf in a prepared slide. 3. To compare a cross section of a dicot leaf to the cross section of a monocot leaf.
