Use boiling water instead of tap water to make clear ice. Great for putting fruit, flowers or surprises in. My fridge makes my ice cubes, but great idea to put fun stuff in them & put them in my boys water table to play with.

What fruits/veggies to refrigerate or not - You would think that, with the amount of produce I eat in a day, that I would be a pro at this...but apparently not.

Freeze fresh herbs in olive oil! Now you can easily add the cubes to pasta or potato dishes, stews, soups, or for roasting onions, garlic, and other veggies.

Hopefully this will help keep fruit and veggies from going bad too early. Smart things here. I have practiced many of these most of my life. I will add Tomatoes. I do not refrigerate them ever. I have a hanging basket in the kitchen for my tomatoes and if I cut it I eat the entire tomato then and there. They act of chilling a whole or cut tomato sucks the flavor away immediately.

FRUITS with cute messages... fun to make with kids or surprise them by putting these adorable fruits in their school lunch boxes or even hubby's lunch box :) From cakewhiz.com
