Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria winter time. What a fairytale!!. This palace was intended as a personal refuge for the reclusive king, Ludwig II of Bavaria but it was opened to the paying public immediately after his death in 1886. The palace has appeared prominently in several movies and was the inspiration for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle. How lovely. Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany. I once dreamed of this as a little girl that I was on an old bus heading to school and this was on the way across a riven. I think I lived here in a past life because it wasn't till I was an adult that I saw this was actually a real place!
