who are the mormons? They are a charitable people of great faith and compassion, they are often miss-quoted and misunderstood. They believe that God is a loving and merciful Father who sent his Son Jesus Christ to the Earth to show us how to love and serve one another. They know that, that same Son gave his life for all who have lived, or will live on this Earth, to save them from The Fall of Adam; that they might not remain in that fallen state unable to repent of their sins. They believe also that it is more than mercy that saves them. They believe they are saved through good works, charity and sincere repentance - when it is necessary. They strive to serve others, the LDS Church is usually the first - or one of the first organizations to arrive after a disaster anywhere in the World with food, water, clothing and people to help. (Check it out). They believe that each person living on the earth is free to choose their own path in life through personal choice; free agency and accountability. They also believe they have the same rights to live their lives according to the dictates of their own faith and conscience without fear of reprisal. If you know someone who is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and they are not as described...then they are not living the Gospel as the Lord intended them to. I'm one, but there are many more. I am happy to be called a Mormon!!
