Northern Dancer: Grandson of Native Dancer. Foaled 2/11/1954. Champion 2-year-old in Canada. Stood in Canada until 1967.  Euthanized 27 July 1973 at Mrs. Richard C. duPont's Woodstock Farm in Maryland, due to chronic lymphangitis left hind. Thoroughbreds don't get any better than this . . .  Member of Canadian Racing Hall of Fame (inducted 1977).
