Daily 5 book boxes. I love the pictures of the kids reading! I wish I had enough boxes for all my kids so I could do this!!! Maybe next year after I collect some cereal boxes ;)

Personalized book bins... create from cereal boxes and decorated by the kids. Can be used for journals, artwork, books, anything.

Make your own class lift-the-flap book! Kids LOVE a lift-the-flap book with their own picture in it. A great project for the beginning of the school year.

Use this at the beginning of the year to get to know your students. Way more fun than a regular worksheet with a list of questions.

Fun, contemporary back-to-school lesson! Have your students draw "selfies" and describe their summer via text message prompts. Makes for a great bulletin board display!!

It is important that kids realize we read for lots of reasons - and one of those reasons is to learn something new! Use picture books to introduce your little ones to concepts such as counting. It brings together the joy of reading with the joy of learning. Don't worry if they don't "get it" the first time through! Just have fun learning together.

I like this end of the year poem. "You're such a star"

Students sign out when they leave the classroom; can also have magnetic pictures/words for nurse, bathroom, etc. so students can put it beside their name so you know exactly where they are.

Students practice spelling each others names...could do this with sight words too! Could use a door, a filing cabinet, or magnetic white board!

end of kindergarten memory book (worked wonderfully for my kids last year)

Daily 5 choices - I like how there's a spot for each clothespin so there's never a mix up of too many students at one station

Daily Five: Just Right Books LOVE the t-shirt analogy visual with this chart, like shoes but perhaps a little easier to understand
