Omar Sharif born Michel Demitri Chalhoub (10 Apr 1932 – 10 Jul 2015). Born to Syrian and Lebanese parents, he grew up Roman Catholic and earned a college degree in mathematics and physics before entering his family's lumber business. The legendary actor, who spoke six languages, appeared in 118 TV and movie roles over his decades-long career. Died of a heart attack in Cairo, Egypt, but was also suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
