Using a nondraining container isn’t a problem if you water infrequently and sparingly. Mounded pebbles on one side of a glass container (from a crafts store) then inserted haworthia and aloe rosettes into the pebbles. I spritz it every now and then to encourage roots to form. ~ I've never tried a container garden with only pebbles. I wonder if they get enough nutrients to grow long term this way.
This had to be one of the easiest DIY’s we’ve done in a long time. We actually made it over two weekends though, instead of just one. We mixed and poured two weekends ago, and then finally pulled it apart this past weekend.
Have I mentioned I'm a sucker for succulents? Can't tell if decorating the tables like this would be a pricey venture, but I love the thought of incorporating living pieces. Between his trees and my plants this is definitely representative of us and our personalities.
