What I notice is the type of food institutionalized hunger relief agencies offer is what I call, 'Dumbing Down Food'. The kind of food that makes one feel lethargic and listless, white flours, white rice, near dead produce; the list is long. We can develop direct relationships between the farms and the pantries. We can also come up with a plan for schools to 'opt out' of USDA food programs in order that our children be fed healthy foods.
