The middle of summer, and all I can do is think how much I want to be the person in the picture...:)

sledding + hot chocolate = reluctantly falling back in love with winter.

Hot Cocoa, baileys, vodka, peppermint schnapps and marshmallows! Winter in a cup!!!!

Cocoa and zimtsterne, these have become a tradition in our house at Christmas time.

Frosty days leading up to Christmas are made all the sweeter by many a mug of hot cocoa! Here's a good recipe: (holidays, Christmas)

Hot chocolate. My favorite when curled up in a chair and wrapped in a big warm sweater. I make mine vegan with coconut milk and vanilla.

Homemade Hot cocoa Mix: Mix 2 cups powdered sugar, 1 cup cocoa (Dutch-process preferred), 2 1/2 cups powdered milk, 1 tsp salt, & 2 tsp cornstarch in lg bowl. 2. Pour hot cocoa mix into an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place. To Make Hot Cocoa: Fill mug half full w/ cocoa mix & ad hot water. Stir. Seal in an mix in airtight container. Also works great w/ warm milk. gm

I make great hot cocoa (which is closer to drinking chocolate than hot cocoa) that is rich and delicious. NO store-bought packets of chalky psuedo-chocolate water made with sugar and powdered milk.
