I tried this and it does not work any better than just soaking them in water. No dead skin "fell" off.

I tried this as well and the only effect that happened was my toenails got whiter. This has the same effect of just soaking your feet in water.

Holly, I found the recipe for the scrub on here. I don't know whay the exact measurements are, but im sure they could be found! I'm glad to hear that other people like it too! Everyone I talk about it to gives me a weird look amd thinks that coconut oil is just for cooking. I love using it as a moisturizer. In fact, at a local massage place, that is what they use when they give massages. Anyways, thats enough of my rant about coconut oil.

turned my nice clear nails blue:(

It worked for me! But I used equal amts of listerine/vinegar/water. Soaked for 20 min (cuz I was watching a movie and forgot about it) my feet were a fabulous bluish color. I then soaked with plain hot water for another 10 min. I pulled my feet out. (Of course they were pruney) but I could take my finger nail and literally scrape of all the dead skin! It was so gross and awesome at the same time! I then pumiced, and used a scrub, then Burts bees foot salve. Perfect smooth non blue feet!

Summer Foot Soak: 1/2 Cup Vinegar 1/2 Cup Listerine 1 Cup hot water Just combine it all together and soak your feet for about 30 minutes. Rinse your feet and towel dry. Your dead skin just falls off and your left with soft summer feet.

Don't use the blue Listerine it makes your feet turn blue and I still had to file the dead skin off my feet. A pedi is a better ides.

I tried this tonight and it was an epic fail! I wasted vinegar and mouth wash and my feet feel no different than they did before! Totally disappointed!

  • Julie Archer

    They will turn blue!

I did this and it didn't really work. I don't have a lot of dead skin either, I just wanted to spruce them up for a trip I am going on tomorrow. My opinion: don't waste your time : (
