Hanalei being a little mermaid under-water were actually the images that inspired the ‘Hanalei’ part of our latest collection… the cowrie shell embellished pieces were meant to invoke that momentary feeling you get when swimming in the ocean when you wish you were a mermaid, living under the sea, with long crimped flowing hair like Daryl Hannah… with no need to come up for air.

‘I nurture creative thought through quiet contemplation.’ Words by Aaryaa at aatmaani.com - astrology for Self-Development.

“Peace can exist only in the present moment. It is ridiculous to say “Wait until I finish this, then I will be free to live in peace.” What is “this”? A diploma, a job, a house, the payment of a debt? If you think that way, peace will never come. If you are not living in peace at this moment, you will never be able to. If you truly want to be at peace, you must be at peace right now. Otherwise, there is only “the hope of peace some day.”— Thich Nhat Hanh

Mala beads are a wonderful way of meditating on a mantra or word. Sit in a comfy position and hold the beads gently in your hand. With each repetition of the mantra or word pull a bead until you have gone all the way round. You could focus on gratitude, peace, love. Sometimes I go around thanking everybody and everything - each bead representing a different thank you.
