This is so true. I think its part of what's great about being a 'runner.' It's not like being a trobone player, where you have to be pretty good to tell people you are one. If you go running today, you are a runner.
Runner Things Me and running don't always see eye to eye. Some days it hurts more than others. But it doesn't mean I don't do it. I deal with it and I keep running because not everything that is good for you feels good for you. Every day is the day.
It's very hard in the beginning to understand that the whole idea is not to beat the other runners. Eventually you learn that the competition is against the little voice inside your head that wants you to quit.
