Updated Vintage Kitchen. I love this kitchen. The yellow color opens up the room and the black and white flooring allows you to use those colors throughout the room. This can be your kitchen at a very reasonable price and a little DYI by painting yourself and changing out the counter tops. The small rectangular table serves as extra work space and keeps the floor space open. Fabulous!

Country style powder room. This is not my look, but is an excellent way to create a stylish small bathroom. I don't have a powder room, so my bathroom has to work for guests as well. Use every area above the floor to create your dream bathroom. Once again, Home Goods, Bed Bath & Beyond, Ikea, and are good sources to create a beautiful and lush bathroom inexpensively.

This is another airy look that can be used in a small apartment. It is similar to my living room and dining area. I have compartmentalized the room into 3 distinct sections. The living area is half of the room - a comfortable space including a fireplace and flat screen TV. The next section has my dining table and an open antique baking rack with storage cabinets galore. The third section has wall units to the ceiling with tons of storage and two sleek leather recliners with ottomans.

This is an airy and open look that can also be achieved in a small bedroom. The key is to keep it simple by adding small bedside tables and the alcove above the bed can be used for decorative items or storage of things you use every day. The look is so open and fresh and can be done on a budget.

Dark furniture can be used in any room, but I would limit it to to pieces as with this chest and chair. You don't want all your furniture to be the same color except for bedroom suit. A few dark pieces create a designer touch. Love!

Living Room | The Curated House. I have two black leather chairs with ottomans in one corner of my living room. They recline and are very comfortable for reading, watching TV and taking a nap. I also have a floor lamp behind the chairs to provide light when needed.

Very nice and the ivory and gold pattern works well with other color schemes.
