Some day I "might" try another sugar cookie recipe... just for fun.... Might... but why mess with such things, when you like what you already have.. ;) Rolled Sugar Cookies - sweet, but not too sweet, and light, rolls perfectly, bakes nicely, stays soft, freezes well, decorates great, and it easy to make.
Candy Cane Snowballs... 3 c. powdered sugar, divided 1 1/4 c butter, softened 2 t. vanilla (or if you’d prefer a stronger peppermint flavor, you can replace 1 t. of vanilla with a teaspoon of peppermint extract) 1 egg 3 c. flour 1 T. baking powder 1/2 t. salt 3/4 c. finely crushed candy canes, divided 1/2 c. granulated sugar 2-3 T. milk
THIS IS THE BEST ICING FOR SUGAR COOKIES. IT HARDENS NICELY SO YOU CAN STACK COOKIES BUT DOESN'T GET HARD LIKE A ROCK, SO YOU WON'T HURT YOUR TEETH. IT'S VERY TASTY TOO AND YOU CAN ADD DIFFERENT EXTRACTS TO CHANGE THE FLAVORS.
