Tony Smith: Die. Idea for sculpture. Make cubes and such, but maybe one side will have a semi-hollow, interesting inside. Not necessarily completely hollow, but maybe a unique shape, partially hollow. WHAT IF: it could be interactive...there could be space for someone to insert almost their whole arm. Inside they don't know what they'll feel. It could be a squishy rubber thing. It could be beads. It could be something furry. It could be poop. Lol jk!
Donald Judd was an American artist associated with minimalism (a term he nonetheless stridently disavowed). He is generally considered the leading international exponent of "minimalism," and its most important theoretician through such seminal writings such as "Specific Objects" (1964).
