The roof is half glass and half slate.
The Galesburg Orpheum was built in 1916 as a vaudeville theatre. Between 1928 and 1982 it operated as a movie theatre under the RKO and Kerasotes brands. It was restored in 1988 into its current form as an events and performing arts centre.
