Lydia Sherman (born 1824) (The Derby Poisoner) was a notorious serial murderess, who poisoned her family and others in her care, in Burlington, New Jersey, United States, throughout the mid 19th century until being convicted in 1872.  She died in prison on 16th May 1878.

Suzy Lamplugh --   The 25 year-old London estate agent was reported missing in July 1986. The only clue to her disappearance was an entry in her diary for an appointment with a "Mr Kipper" for a house viewing in Fulham, London. Her body has never been found and she was officially declared dead, presumed murdered, in 1994.

Jean and Katherine Odiscus died from gunshot wounds suffered during their attempted robbery of Theodore Apostalos Koukos at 809 9th St. NW, Washington D.C.  on July 26th, 1920. Koukos, who also perished during the attack from hatchet wounds, was reported to have shot both Jean and Katherine Odiscus in the head with a .32 caliber revolver.

In 2009 15 year-old Alyssa Bustamante lured  9 year-old Elizabeth Olten into  woods, where she used a knife to slash the girls throat and wrists, she then strangled her.  Alyssa disposed of Elizabeth's body in a pre-dug grave. She told police she wanted to know what it felt like to kill.  In her diary she wrote, "It was ahmazing. As soon as you get over the 'ohmygawd I can't do this' feeling, it's pretty enjoyable. I gotta go to church now...lol."  She was sentenced to life in Feb 2012.

The last confirmed sighting of her was on 18 March 2009, in Melrosegate, Heworth, York.  Nothing has been seen of Claudia since that day.  Although police have said they are treating it as a murder investigation, Claudia's family and friends still live in hope of finding her alive.
