A snorkeler gazes at a shallow shipwreck that lies amid the protected waters of Palau’s inner lagoon. The ship was a fishing vessel damaged by an intense storm three decades ago. It has surprisingly little marine growth on it, probably due to the fact that it rests in a part of the lagoon that receives no current and therefore few coral larvae.
The St. Joseph, Michigan outer range light is covered in a thick layer of twisted ice following a winter storm that created 20 foot waves on Lake Michigan, Benton Harbor.
