Hoopoe by Dov Kalay

İbibik veya Çavuş kuşu da deniyor bu kuşa.. Çok alem bi kuş, çok matrak.. Gagasıyla topraktan çıkardığı böcekleri önce havaya atıyor sonra da leblebi gibi havada kapıyor..!

Meadowlark (see book cover). Eggs are white with brown spots. Nest is made of dry brown grass, hidden in a dry grass tunnel. They land away from nest and walk to it in order to keep the location a secret.

The sword-billed hummingbird (Enisfera enisfera) is very aptly named, as its bill can grow up to 4 inches long, which is longer than its body. Because of this, the bird cannot preen with its bill and instead will groom its feathers with its feet. To ease neck strain while perched, sword-billed hummingbirds often hold their bills straight up. These unique birds can be found in Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela. Eastern Bluebird -- Bluebirds can typically produce between two and four broods during the spring and summer in the Northeastern United States. Males identify potential nest sites and try to attract prospective female mates to those nesting sites with special behaviors that include singing and flapping wings, and then placing some material in a nesting box or cavity. If the female accepts the male and the nesting site, she alone builds the nest and incubates the eggs.
