How this teacher manages: instead of having classroom jobs, she had a boy and girl "helping hand" of the day. The two helpers were responsible for all of the classroom jobs (line leader, door holder, running errands, etc.) Just write each students' name on a cutout of a hand and hand the hands on the wall and flip the hands each day. It is such a super easy system, and it works out so that students get to be a helper about once every other week.

Our Promise To Each Other - Social Contract. To make it official, students put their "I promise" hand print on the poster. Older students could also sign their hand.

Quick Management Tips & a Freebie

No more classroom jobs.. just have 1 handy helper who does everything. Rotate the hand every day… white label the names on and use year after year!

Great idea and easy for students to remember while in line. You can even add pictures of students when you "catch" them following the 4s. Line behavior, very positive, love it!
