Writing (Banana) spiders live all around our house. They write words in their webs~

    They can bite if you scare them, but they are not especially poisonous. They don't even kill their husbands, who sit peacefully on the same web, and are very tiny. We get lots of these in the summer, and I like watching them..

    I've seen the males, too. They look like tiny faded grey versions of the females. We protect their sacs at the end of the season so we will have them again.

    Thanks. But the picture is right there with the other spiders. He's in the upper left corner or one of them. His mate tends to dwarf him, of course.
