"Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all deeps" -Psalm 148:7 Always have I been mystified by the great creatures lurking just beneath the surface of the oceans. Testaments to the greatness and power of God.

I'm loving the above the water shots // Antarctic Minke whale

I have a re-occurring dream where I'm swimming in the middle of the ocean with a humpback whale. Its pitch black at night and everywhere I look there are just stars - whether it be in the sky or in the waters reflection. One day I hope to know what it means.

Everybody likes bubbles, even beluga whales (near-threatened; habitat: around Canada, arctic)

Sleeping sperm whales by Magnus Lundgren. Whales are voluntary breathers, so only half of their brain can sleep at any time - they have to think to breath! Scientists found this out the hard way when they tried to put a dolphin to sleep for an operation. Its whole brain was asleep so it could not think - it's time to take a breath!

The Beluga Whale also called The White Whale can mostly be found in Artic waters and become their brilliant white color around 5 yrs. of age. They are considered a smallish whale between 13-20' long and live 35-50 yrs. in the wild. They should never be kept in captivity.... it is inhumane and unjust. All whales should have the roam of the ocean!
