Monty Hall's Let's Make a Deal. I loved that show.
60 S, Childhood Memories, 70S, Memory Lane
Monty Hall and I were born on the same day, 39 years apart. My mom and her friend went to the show dressed as Mrs. Santa and a Christmas present in the early 70s, not realizing the show was taped so the show wouldn't be aired during the holidays... Alas, Monty never selected them to make a deal.
Monty Hall's Let's Make a Deal. This is how/why I learned my SS#. They would ask people to recall their # to win money. I just knew I was going to be on the show one day. Can you imagine saying your SS# on TV today!
If you had to name one of the zaniest game shows, Let’s Make a Deal would definitely fit the bill. Part of the fun was host Monty Hall’s selection of contestants from an audience of people in crazy costumes trying to stand out in the crowd. Once the dealing began, contestants could choose from behind door or curtain number one, two or three – with either legit prizes or total crap.
Popular television game shows of the 1960’s and 70’s....the original Let's Make A Deal, with host Monty Hall! The best!
I remember one of the most popular television game shows of the 1960’s and 70’s....the original Let's Make A Deal, with host Monty Hall!
Monty Hall's Let's Make a Deal. And the Big Deal is behind door #? What a fun game show. Saw repeats of it not long ago and still really enjoyed it.
one of the most popular television game shows of the 1960’s and 70’s....the original Let's Make A Deal, with host Monty Hall! The show where contestants buy, sell, or trade anything and everything from Aardvarks to Zithers. Lawyers, doctors, plumbers, and even Beverly Hills housewives dressed as kumquats and turnips hoping to trade a hard boiled egg for a Cadillac. What would be behind the Curtain? A Car or a ZONK...a worthless, ridiculous prize!
Let's Make a Deal - an US TV game show but since been produced in many countries throughout the world. The show is based around deals offered to members of the audience by the host - Monty Hall. The traders have to weigh the possibility of an offer being for a valuable prize or an undesirable item, referred to as a "Zonk". It is also known for the various unusual and crazy costumes worn by audience members, who dressed up in order to increase their chances of being selected as a trader.

The Munsters TV show was a 30 minute comedy series on CBS about a family of monster-like characters that didn’t realize that they were different from “normal” people. The father looked remarkably like the Frankenstein monster. His wife appeared to be a vampire. His son looked like a “wolf-boy”. There was the niece, however, who was perfectly normal. While they were very nice “monsters”, their neighbors were naturally quite fearfull of them and their strange ways.
