King Henry VI (1422 - 1461) son of Henry V. He assumed royal power 1442 and sided with the party opposed to the continuation of the Hundred Years' War with France. After his marriage 1445, he was dominated by his wife, Margaret of Anjou. He was deposed 1461 in the Wars of the Roses; was captured 1465, temporarily restored 1470, but again imprisoned 1471 and then murdered. Henry was eight months old when he succeeded to the English throne.

Blanche of Lancaster, Duchess of Lancaster (25 March 1345 – 12 September 1368) was an English noblewoman & heiress, daughter of England's wealthiest and most powerful peer, Henry of Grosmont, 1st Duke of Lancaster. She was the first wife of John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster, and the mother of King Henry IV of England. Vintage Retro Sunglasses Frames France

Vintage retro sunglasses with marbelized frames made in France. The glasses have a greyish green color with a darker brown around the lens and a lighter pearly layer around it. The frames measure approximately 4-3/4 inches from hinge to hinge so they would fit a smaller head. The temple measures approximately 3-1/2 inches from the hinge to the bend. They are marked "Made in France". The lenses do have some light surface scratching. They are probably circa 1970's-80's.

Margaret of Anjou (c.1429-82), wife of Lancastrian Henry VI. When Henry was deemed mentally incompetent, Margaret restyled herself a warrior-queen. She led several victories during the War of the Roses. Her only child was slain in battle by Edward VI.

HENRY VI, King of England, son of King Henry V and Catherine of Valois, was born at Windsor on the 6th of December 1421. He became King of England on the 1st of September 1422. He was deposed and died in Tower of London 21/22 May 1471. Historians still argue over what & who were the cause of his death.
