California Redwood Trees. I've been there. Pictures does not do these trees justice. I would highly recommend you to visit these trees. It is like looking at the picture of Grand Canyon vs. experiencing it for yourself there. #Redwood #RedwoodTrees #Redwoods #California #CaliforniaTree #Tree #Trees #TreeDetails #Leaves #Bark #Nature #Outdoor #Outdoors #Hiking #TreeLover #TreeHugger

California Redwoods. Be sure to notice that those are regular folks/real human beings that are standing there looking up at these incredible giants (to give you a slight idea of their size)!!! (Sequoias are a sub species of Redwoods). Muir Redwood Forest is 45 min drive from San Fancisco. I camped in there one beautiful.

Redwoods-if you've never driven on the 101 down the California coast you're missing out!!

"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers." Psalm 1:1-3

Photographer Nick Nichols and the National Geographic built a robotic camera to capture images of this 1600-year-old California Redwood tree (with a crown over 100 feet wide). They stitched 84 photographs together, working on the project more than two years, in order to present this final photograph evidencing the majesty of our nation’s most beautiful trees: the California Redwoods.
