We continue to be spellbound by the soft-scrubbing, smell-stopping, subtle power of baking soda. There are so many uses for it. We recently came across some baking soda uses from True Value hardware - check them out after the jump...
I tried this and the soap scum came right off. I'm completely impressed and no coughing from all the chemicals in cleaners. Never buying shower cleaner again. 1 cup each - warm white vinegar (microwave 2 min) + 1c Original Dawn. Spray, leave for 15 min, rinse.
Add orange peels (or any citrus peel) to a quart of white vinegar in a closed container and let it set for two weeks. Combine citrus/vinegar solution half/half with water and use for cleaning. Works on floors, tile, fixtures, etc. Smells good and is tough on scum! Best of all there are no chemicals.
What an awesome idea for my kids whom pick up one item up in their room after I tell them to clean it and say "Ok mom, I'm done!" Now I can hand them the chore card and when they say they are done I can ask if they completed every item on the check list. Brilliant!
