This is an earlier version of the Three Arrows (1870), most likely the first version, some 140 years in existence albeit in different guises. It’s difficult to tell whether this original structure was completely demolished and replaced, but there are enough features that suggest that basically it’s the same, such as the tall chimney on the right hand side. The young lad in front of the pub was obviously weighing up how to widen the road to accommodate the heavier traffic in later years.
