Nighthawks - Edward Hopper. I'm not really sure why exactly, but this is one of my favorite paintings.

Edward Hopper- "Nighthawks" was inspired by a restaurant on New York's Greenwich Avenue where two streets meet. The painting depicts an all-night diner in which three customers, all lost in their own thoughts, have congregated.

this was created by barbara hepworth in 1934 and she named it mother and child. i think this image is a very inter mate piece of work and i also think that this took her a while to come up with the idea for this sculpture or piece of art.
