I like this idea... Slow release watering - plastic bottles, with just a few holes buried next to your plants. For containers or raised beds. Good alternative to a drip hose, esp for remote locations.-- I'm thinking about putting a few of these in. I feel they would conserve a little water too. No fertilizer for me though. I rely on natural processes in my garden.

Poke small holes in the bottom of a bottle, fill it with some gravel, fill with water, put lid back on. It will water your plants slowly.
