From Provident Living NZ, recycled bottle drip irrigation for containers. This is a great idea for when you need to be out of town a few days. My concern is having to give up container space to accommodate the bottle. Hrm.

: Bottle Drip Irrigation. Deep watering

I like this idea... Slow release watering - plastic bottles, with just a few holes buried next to your plants. For containers or raised beds. Good alternative to a drip hose, esp for remote locations.-- I'm thinking about putting a few of these in. I feel they would conserve a little water too. No fertilizer for me though. I rely on natural processes in my garden.

Drip Irrigation using recycled water bottles and jugs...great idea to hide in my big pots and with my vegies, especially if its as hot as it was last year!
