How to cook steak. What you do is hold your hand as shown in each photo. Then touch the fleshy part of your hand to feel the difference in firmness. Each diagram shows the way to hold your fingers to determine the doneness of the meat. Isn’t that cool?

"How To Tell When Steak is Done with Steak Doneness Chart" I didn't get it at first but now it makes perfect sense and is very simple- did not know this! It is based on the firmness of your hand is how the steak should feel. As you switch fingers the muscle gets harder (steaks well done are hardest to the touch). #christinebybee #bybeerealestate #remax #home #diy #utahrealestate #food

"How To Tell When Steak is Done with Steak Doneness Chart" Hold your fingers like so and feel the part of your hand shown. The meat should be just about as firm when you touch or poke it indicating how "done" it is.

How to tell when steak is done.... I was taught this simple touch method to cook a near perfect steak...... hold your hand as shown in each photo. Then touch the fleshy part of your hand to feel the difference in firmness. Each diagram shows the way to hold your fingers to determine the doneness of the meat.

This is the way I was taught when I worked in a pro kitchen. Much better than cutting the meat and letting the juices spill out.

    I love pork!

Look at all you get from one pig! Don't knock pork. It is rich in B 12 which you can't get elsewhere. Many vegans are often B 12 and iron deficient.

It's the weekend, that means its pig time!

A thyme-infused butter enhances the flavor of this skillet-seared steak, inspired by one at Prime Steakhouse, at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

a perfectly cooked steak... I may have to create a board for just pins of steak. Don't tempt me. Granted, this *is* tempting me!
