Banoffee "Danger" Recipe: Banoffee "Danger" Pie Do not adjust your sets - you haven't tuned into the wrong blog. Its still culinarily challenged me but this pie was so amazingly delish I had to share it. We had a chance encounter with its gooey yumminess in Africa. Luckily the camp manager was nice enough to share the recipe. I've made a few slight adjustments to account for American markets.
Eagle Brand - Sweet Condensed Milk (which when boiled in the can for 8 hours) produces a thick caramel. Do NOT let the boiling water go below the level of the can or it will explode! It's a mess you will never forget. Use your crockpot, on HIGH, 8 hours of boiling. Cool before opening or it will explode then, too! In other words, make it a day in advance, let it get to room temperature.
