My friend Paula recommended this book to me. Amazing! I regularly give this book as gifts now. Enjoy!

The power of one, by Bryce Courtney. A wonderful story written by arguably Australia's greatest writer who sadly passed away today.

Told by the father, but often in Colton's own words, the disarmingly simple message is heaven is a real place,

Heaven is for Real. This book was so interesting and was such an inspiring read.

Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese. I'm not quite sure where to begin with this book--it is so full of rich characters, medical procedures (with perhaps a little more detail than you'd like), political turmoil, etc. Verghese doesn't jump straight into the story, but builds a back story that gets filled in throughout the rest of the novel. This is my favorite book of the year!

Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese. An enthralling family saga of Africa and America, doctors and patients, exile and home.

Mitch Albom and http://pinterestpi.blogspot.com

the five people you meet in heaven This was a wonderful book. The movie was terrific too. Maybe the best book to movie interpretation I've seen.

I've sorta-kinda held off on this book because I so seldom enjoy the stories that get the biggest hype, but I DID like the movie ever so much. I'm sure I'll read it sometime this year.
