Shadow of Night, the second novel in the excellent All Souls Trilogy series by Deborah Harkness [Penguin]. Amazon Best Books of the Month, July 2012, I paid full price for both this and the first in the series (A Discovery of Witches) and will have to get The Book of Life when it comes out in July 2014.

Shadow of Night: A Novel (All Souls Trilogy) - The 2nd book in the trilogy. Not nearly as good as the first, but worth reading all the same.

Love this series. Great author. Read series in order. A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, book 1) by Deborah Harkness

Deborah Harkness, All Souls Trilogy: The characters in this trilogy are so real and the historical detail is fantastic.

Not really into paranormal romance AT ALL, but this is definitely a fun summer read with the promise of 2 more books to follow.

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness Seriously one of the best books I have ever read...not generally into the supernatural fiction...but this is in a league all its own. AMAZING!!

Warner Brothers is looking for more fantasy opportunities now that the Harry Potter series has concluded, and they have acquired the rights to THE DISCOVERY OF WITCHES. The best selling book is about a vampire and a witch, and an ancient manuscript that ties them together.

Described to me as "Twilight for adults" this is so much more. Has vampires and witches, but also lovely descriptions of books and history, and heaps of suspense. Add this to your summer book list and you'll be reading rather than snoozing at the beach.

A Discovery of Witches: A Novel. Good twist on history/vampire lore. The sequel comes out next month.

Kind of like DaVinci Code meets Sookie Stackhouse...but in a good way. I'm looking forward to the sequel.

The Casual Vacancy is J.K. Rowling’s next novel after she took her Harry Potter series to its end. It’s the first publicly known work of hers to dwell outside the world of Hogwarts, and wizards, an...

What Twilight wishes it could be. This is the most recent title from which I have suffered a "reading hangover."
