~ candle holders.... Katie.. you need to try this with long vase/pillar candle holders

Did these myself... I absolutely LOVE them!!! Add rustic beauty to your mantle with twig candle holders. This DIY project is simple and natural, using just a flat candle holder (check thrift stores!), garden pruners, craft adhesive and dry tree or shrub branches of your choosing. The same concept could be used on vases or other decorative items. you could make sparkly ones too.

get old bits of candle out of container - boil water, pour into jar/container, let cool COMPLETELY (this is key), the wax will loosen from the sides and you can take it right out. Don't pour water down drain - it has wax in it!

Paint Dipped Log Candle Holders! How fun are these? Great for the holidays but you could keep them up year round too!

Removing candle wax: Fill the jars with boiling, hot water; let the water cool overnight, and the next morning, the wax floated to the top and hardened. You can cut it into two pieces to remove. Use a sos pad to remove any remaining wax; wash and dry.
