Southern Strawberry Sweet Iced Tea From the Kitchen of Deep South Dish One recipe of my Southern Sweet Iced Tea, using 5 tea bags, steeped in 4 cups of hot water for 5 minutes) 1 cup of sugar or sugar substitute 2 cups of fresh whole strawberries, cleaned 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 1-1/2 lemons) Ice cubes Extra strawberries, for garnish
These look super yummy. Also think about all the different kind of jams and jellies you could use... Apple with a little bit of cinnamon or caramel (YUM!). Of course I would substitute apple sauce for the oil (since that's what I've been trying to do when baking these days) and it doesn't seem like such a bad for you recipe.

Cucumber Jam: Her recipe calls for jam sugar...??? Then something about confisc...I'm guessing powder sugar. Pectin somewhere in there but not in the recipe...LOL!!! I'll just make it like I do "Jalapeno Jelly". She says keep in fridge. Fine if you want it chilled or after opening. I see no reason why it can't be shelved like all other jellies.
