The Best Low Carb Green Smoothie - If I told you I made a smoothie that tasted like the leftover milk that you drink after eating a bowl of Lucky Charms, was good for you and low in carbs...would you believe me? Well you should because it is all true :) If anyone reading has no clue what Lucky Charms tastes like, its like a bowl full of sugary marshmallow heaven that brings me way back.
INGREDIENTS 1 banana, frozen (if possible) and sliced 1/2 cup orange juice 1/4 cup blueberries 1/3 cup vanilla yogurt 2-4 ice cubes 1/4 cup Honey Bunches of Oats cereal DIRECTIONS Blend all the ingredients for a few minutes; add more ice to thicken. Note: You may use frozen blueberries, but fresh will add a bit more taste to the smoothie.
Breakfast Smoothie-1 serving: 1/2 cup uncooked oats 1 frozen banana (cut into small chunks first) 1&1/2 cup skim milk 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed 1 pkg. sugar substitute 1 tsp. coffee extract or coffee flavor (optional) In a food processor, blend oats until they become powder. Add the other ingredients and blend until smooth.
